Bucherer x Rolex | Royal Academy of Arts

Moriarty Events delivered an evening for Bucherer x Rolex at the Royal Academy of Arts that was shaped by the building itself. Rather than a single focal moment, the experience was designed to unfold through a shift in atmosphere, using the Academy’s contrasting spaces to guide guests through the evening. The event began beneath Burlington House in the RA Vaults, where the original brick arches created a darker, more atmospheric setting for the drinks reception. Champagne service, sculptural floral details and carefully controlled lighting softened the space while retaining its architectural edge, establishing a grounded and composed opening to the evening. Guests then transitioned upstairs into the Fine Rooms for dinner, moving into a markedly different environment defined by proportion, symmetry and historic detail. A classic tablescape of candlesticks, anemone florals and soft lamp light was selected to sit comfortably within the eighteenth-century interiors, allowing the room to remain the dominant visual element. Live piano and violin accompanied dinner, adding texture and rhythm without drawing focus from the setting or conversation. Moriarty Events managed the full planning and delivery of the event, including guest flow, spatial sequencing, styling, entertainment and on-site production. The result was an experience that felt deliberate and balanced, reflecting Rolex’s values through control, continuity and precision rather than overt design. This project demonstrates Moriarty Events’ expertise in producing luxury brand events within heritage venues, using space, atmosphere and pacing to create experiences that feel distinctive.
