To give the gift of perpetual time

The prestigious Orangery at Kensington Palace reopened after renovations that took seven years to complete. Moriarty Events were one of the very first to return and utilise the experiential space. The famed royal venue kicked off a busy summer luxury events season, providing the perfect setting for our esteemed client, Bucherer - to give the gift of perpetual time.

The Baroque-style Orangery, constructed in 1704 and designed by leading 17th Century architect Nicholas Hawksmoor, originally served as a greenhouse for Queen Anne. During her reign, it was converted into a formal Supper House for entertaining and hosting parties in the summer months and housed her orange trees during the winter. Sitting within the grounds of Kensington palace the iconic building boasts spectacular gardens and expansive views of the Royal Palace.

The recent renovation reaffirms the orangery’s place as a destination for entertainment - emphasising the building’s important heritage whilst adding modern sensibilities. It was therefore a 'must do' on our list of venues for the start of summer events season.

Dressing the Supper House in ever-green foliage, combined with bright white florals and aligned to the building’s stunning architecture, we created an immersive and refined experience that matched the branded showcase aesthetic. Special attention was also paid to curating the perfect, serene atmosphere – making use of both the building’s stunning exterior silhouette, and majestic interior to set the mood, as we transitioned from day to night.
