The Venue…. One of our favourite venues with oodles of history and bags of animals…. The Natural History Museum is one of London's most iconic venues. With stunning architecture and fascinating structure, the building provided a stunning backdrop for this very special wedding.
The Wedding….. From the moment we met these clients we knew they were going to have one hell of a party and that it was! For our clients, having their wedding at the Natural History Museum was personal to them. They chose décor to compliment the beautiful Hintze Hall; styling the room using pinks, purples, golds and ivory to make it really warm and bright, bringing the outside summer season, in.
Our bride always knew she wanted a dramatic dress. She chose a striking, princess-style organza gown by Bliss by Monique Lhuillie allowing the couple to make a grand entrance down the stone staircase into the famous Hall which was adorned with flowers. Plinth arrangements on either side of the stairs tied beautifully into the bouquet of ivory peonies and roses with an abundance of greenery to give it that wilder, romantic look.
The creative team channelled the wedding’s theme perfectly, creating a mix of relaxed elegance for the table centres. The tables had crystal candelabras and storm lanterns, all adorned with rose petals, greenery and gold tea-lights to give a lavish, romantic effect. The use of high and low displays worked together, drawing the eye to the dramatic ceiling and allowing the structural features of the space to stand out. Through out the evening the atmosphere on the dance floor was electric! One of our favourite weddings to date.
