Moriarty are thrilled to be working with Manolo Blahnik again on the launch party for a very special collaboration between him and The Wallace Collection. Manolo Blahnik is arguably the most famous shoe designer in the world, with his heels being immortalised in Sex and the City after they were given their own storyline! This new exhibition showcases his creativity in a way that’s never been seen before. Each pair of shoes (all 160 of them) will be set amongst the masterpieces of the Wallace Collection - showing the art that inspired many of their designs. The exhibition is set across 10 rooms, each exploring a theme in Blahnik’s work which has been influenced by art. The pairing of the shoes to the collection aims to create a dialogue between art and craft which is truly spectacular to see.
It is a privilege to be working with Manolo Blahnik (a fellow Walpole member), influenced by the incredible shoes from Manolo’s archives and history in the Wallace Collection we bought inspiration to the paintings and shoes. We also played on the title The Enchanted Mind hosting a drinks reception for Manolo’s top 250 clients for canapés and champagne and a private view of the exhibition. Manolo described the Wallace Collection as his second home which we think is quite fitting for such an extraordinary, exciting and very unique exhibition in the heart of London. The exhibition runs from 10th June - 1st September 2019 and is free entry so try to get down to see it if you can.
