The Almost Wife Book Launch Party

Moriarty Events were asked by Editor of Brides Magazine, Jade Beer, to design the book launch for her debut novel The Almost Wife with a glamorous party at Claridge’s. The first thing we did was to read book to get an idea of the look and feel of what the book was portraying. Following that, the brief was simple – stunning, sophisticated but not over the top! We needed to ensure there was a lot of product placement but also the ability for guests to move around and feel like they were at a glamorous summer wedding, complete with flowers, candles, flowing Champagne and of course, a spectacular wedding cake. It needed to be stunning, sophisticated but also quite natural; the colours we used were all pastel with punches of colour.

Upon arrival guests were greeted with glasses of Moët Champagne, the room was kitted out with stunning furniture, using different tones and patterns, making it more interesting and less flat. Wonderful blooms provided a stunning backdrop for Jade’s speech plus Jo Malone candles throughout the space creating a wonderfully fragrant atmosphere. We has special pieces illustrated of the characters from The Almost Wife, which brought the book to life and were distributed around the venue. The statement piece in the room was the two bookshelves positioned behind Jade for the book signing and photographs!

“From the moment Georgina and the Moriarty team first set foot in my office and started planning my debut book launch at Claridge’s, I knew it was going to be a very special event. Moriarty took care of everything. They leveraged all their best contacts, made brilliantly creative suggestions, visually walked me through every moment of the evening and how it would seamlessly come together and solved problems before I even knew they existed. I just turned up on the night, staggered by how beautiful everything looked with very little idea of all the real hard work that went on behind the scenes. Georgina is masterful at her job, which meant I could get on with mine without any unnecessary stress.” Jade Beer, Editor Condé Nast Brides

Working with Jade such a joy and we loved how the event came together. Find more images in the write up in Brides Magazine.
