Over the summer, we designed and produced a three-day wedding celebration in the rolling hills of Corfu. Nestled within a charming & picturesque family villa, our goal was to infuse the event with seasonal blooms and local touches, capturing the authentic Corfiot essence throughout.
Setting the scene
The concept was to embrace every part of the villa, leading guests on a journey through the couple's cherished spaces. With this in mind, we transformed the home into a dynamic event space, using the olive groves to host an intimate and organic ceremony, the pool pavilion for a drinks reception and the various terraces for an alfresco dinner where guests could enjoy the landscaping surrounding the property.
Florals
Our design celebrated artisans and authenticity; collaborating with a local florist, the villa was adorned with a breathtaking array of seasonal blush, peach, and coral blooms. A beautiful floral arch framed the couple's ceremony, harmonising with the luscious green surroundings. As an alternative to traditional confetti, guests were handed cones filled with olive leaves from the villa's grounds, helping to celebrate the couple whilst creating a memorable photo moment.
Arrangements of deep orange, pink and coral roses dressed the table, enhanced with terracotta pots and interwoven greenery. Creams and lilac blooms added layers to the design, mirroring the native plants and trees that could be seen on the villa grounds. Climbing florals wrapped around the bar, adding that pop of colour throughout while a canopy of hanging wisteria and foliage dressed the back terrace, framing the DJ booth and creating an inmate area to dance into the night.
Tablescapes
Twelve tables of mixed shapes and sizes, graced the terraces, offering guests a relaxed and informal dining experience with panoramic views of the stunning Corfu coastline. The pattern and texture of rich blue plates sourced from the island seamlessly complemented the villa's stone décor while the colour palette mirrored hues of the Ionian Sea.
Entertainment & Dinner
Throughout the reception the sounds of a traditional band filled the air, proving the perfect background entertainment that didn’t go unnoticed and tied all the authentic features together. This quintessentially Corfiot entertainment continued through dinner, complemented by a feast of fresh, grill-prepared dishes that immersed guests in a sensory experience of Greek delights.
As the sun began to set, the party commenced with showcases from international DJs - including some very talented guests - and well-known artists from the island, guests danced into the night overlooking the incredible views of Kassiopi.
In the embrace of Corfu's enchanting landscape, this celebration unfurled as an editorial masterpiece - a harmonious blend of curated elegance and the natural charm that defines the island.
