When celebrating a 60th birthday, there’s no other way to do it but in complete luxury style. We had the pleasure of planning not only one, but two birthday celebrations for Janie, our very special client. Creating moments surrounded by those closest, forming memories that will last a lifetime.
Celebrations began at the stunning Holland Park with a surprise birthday dinner. Simple and elegant décor was suggested by William, Janie’s husband, reflecting personal favourites of his wife. We had the pleasure of designing a table space filled with pinks, purples and whites, complementing the spring bloom within the park. A carefully curated menu was selected, offering cocktails and a three-course dinner designed specifically for the client’s taste.
Guests were welcomed in the Orangery as the sun started to set. Ready to surprise the unaware Janie. With the arrival of the guest of honour, the room erupted with joy and laughter. Candles were lit, and an intimate family dinner was underway. A night filled with unexpected delights.
With one sentimental occasion complete, the next was commencing. A weekend getaway for 120 friends and family provided the perfect environment to celebrate. Looking to take over a venue, Cowdray House was selected. The vaulted ceiling Buck Hall, beautiful grounds and homely bedrooms made for a fabulous spot.
Taking inspiration from the surprise birthday dinner, similar tones were used within the event florals. Blooming peonies and hydrangeas were used within bouquets, adding pops of colours, and defusing a sweet summer scent within the venue. Olive green and cream table accents were used, reflecting the tones of gypsophila scattered throughout. Each place setting was finalised with a bow.
Touching speeches and music serenaded guests throughout their dinner. Reminiscing on memories and highlighting significant moments spent within the family.
Guests were welcomed to mingle with a cocktail whilst the award-winning magician, Bones, stunned guests with magic and tricks. The live music then commenced, and guests were drawn to the iconic ABBA hits by Bjorn Again, and bespoke neon light logo. Singing, dancing and laughter were seen throughout the whole set. Creating fond memories for each and every guest who were invited to join and celebrate Janie's special birthday.
