In the dynamic world of events, weaving impactful moments throughout is key to leaving a lasting impression on guests. Renders play a pivotal role in shaping the narrative and bringing a brand's vision to life. These visual representations serve as the cornerstone of event planning, offering a sneak peek into the immersive experiences that await attendees.
We designed a reception for The Glen Grant to celebrate Devotion; the 70-year-old single malt whisky and the sculptural masterpiece inspired by the incredible reign of her Late Majesty the Queen that housed it. Our client wanted to take guests on a journey and offer tangible moments that mirrored the processes of creating such a monumental product. With so many interactive ideas, we firstly needed to showcase our designs to the client by providing a realistic portrayal of the envisioned setup, decor, and overall ambiance.
One of the key benefits of renders lies in their ability to bridge the gap between imagination and actualised execution, which helped massively to capture an idea and showcase our vision to the team based in New York. This not only saved time and resources but also ensured that the final product aligned seamlessly with the brand's identity.
The guests journey started at the beginning of the whisky ageing process, the barrel. We designed a tunnel with wooden and copper fixtures, mimicking the look and feel of a barrel that guests could walk through. Within the structure, scent decanters were displayed, allowing guests to physically smell the notes found within the 70-year-old whisky. Warm orange lighting matching the colour of the product lit the installation interacting with see, touch and smell all inspired by the brand and its beverages.
With such an impressive structure around the bottle, we wanted to present the effort dedicated to creating the artistic piece. We designed a plinth installation, in which greenery inspired by The Glen Grant distillery gardens were encased behind frosted acrylic. Materials, sketches and prototypes were displayed and master craftsmen John Galvin and Brodie Nairn had the opportunity to discussed the curation of the bespoke art piece with guests.
The third chapter of the drink’s reception paired the strong messaging of the brand with the meaningful floral artwork on the sculpture. We designed a structural maze of meaningful flowers that captured key moments within Queen Elizabeth’sII 70-year reign, from the coronation to her wedding, guests were offered a snippet of history. The juxtaposing textures of the harsh metal frames with the beautiful flowers offered depth to the design and paired with a 6ft paper rose offered height and movement to the room.
All these moments increased the anticipation for the final reveal of The Glen Grant 70-year old whisky. With guests fully immersed and invested in the complete journey of the product, the theatrical unveiling using draping, a bespoke soundtrack and effective lighting and shadows felt that much more impactful.
Using renders as a visual roadmap we were able to guide our suppliers and client through the creative process and ensure that the final product was a true reflection of the brand's identity. Inspired by messaging and a tone of voice and we created a physically experience that enticed all the senses.
